About Us
Atlantic Boylesque is a gender diverse collaborative of artists gratefully living and performing in and around Kjipuktuk (Halifax, Nova Scotia), in the unceeded territory of the Mi’kmaq . The many talents of our troupe members, which range from performance and visual arts, dance choreography, theatre, costume design, magic, photography, flow arts, and event planning all contribute to each unique production. Since exploding onto the scene in May 2022, we have been pushing the boundaries of neo-burlesque and blurring the lines between theatre and exotic dance. We have produced multiple fully scripted plays (A Queersmas Carol, Haunt Me Harder, Planet Pride Vol. 1 & 2), horrific Halloween parties, inter-planetary raves and special choreographed group numbers with each of our sold-out shows. We value community, equality, hard work, cooperation, and freedom of expression while celebrating our unique identities in a non-toxic, non-hetero-normative and sexually positive way. We are immensely grateful for the community support and love that has gotten us this far. Thank you!
